Electric Beach

Dress: Gap // Belt: J. Crew // Jacket: Shopbop // Clutch: Samudra via Shopbop

First off, I apologize for the accidental hiatus! I can't believe October is already almost over--where does all the time go?

It's been getting more chilly around here so I've been forced to bring out the jackets and work layers into my everyday wardrobe. I'm very much a skirt and dresses kind of gal so its been interesting to find new ways to wear my spring/summer apparel. I've had my eye on this Samudra clutch for a while and I snatched it up during Shopbop's wonderful Friends & Family sale! The beach print and the vivid colors offer a great pop to dark fall outfits.

Rainy Days & Mondays

Sweater: J. Crew Factory // Skirt: Francesca's // Shoes: Manolo Blahnik // Necklace: J. Crew // Purse: Charles & Keith

I promise that I fixed my hair that morning... It was one of those rare rainy days in Orange County and my hair just looked outside and utterly gave up. Also, if you're wondering if that shirt just looks oddly bright in pictures, let me assure you that it is just as obnoxiously bright in person. This was my anti-wallflower ensemble. :)

Orange Sherbet

Dress: Gap // Jacket: J. Crew // Belt: Banana Republic // Shoes: Rachel Roy // Bag: Kate Spade

I've been in a phase where I'm all about bright accessories. Shoes or a purse in a punch color? I am so there. I found this delightful Kate Spade purse at my favorite local outlet and at over 50% off, I couldn't resist but bring it home with me. The added shoulder strap is perfect for when I've loaded it with heavier items. I was debating between this and a dark blue polka-dot bag in a similar style, but I eventually succumbed to this whimsical hue. The man friend has been referring to it as the Sherbet Purse--is dessert-themed apparel now becoming a new habit of mine? ;)

Happy Monday!

Silver Linings

Top: J. Crew // Skirt: Rhyme Los Angeles (from Piperlime) // Shoes: Zara // Clutch: Gap // Sunglasses: Coach

One look at my bathroom counter and it's clear that I'm a magpie: I love shiny objects. This laser-cut skirt also comes in a more subtle black but of course I was immediately drawn to the silver version. It's going to be such a fun piece to pair with chunky sweaters come this holiday season!

I also love that the skirt is made of vegan leather which is fashion code/wily marketing for faux leather. So that makes it 1. cheaper than real leather and 2. eco-conscious. Nothing quite like guilt-free shopping, amiright?

Bow Tie

Top: ASOS // Skirt: J. Crew (old) // Shoes: Kate Spade // Purse: 3.1 Phillip Lim

Remember my ode to a crop top? I'm all for having fun with my work wardrobe, so yes, I dared to wear a crop top to work! I've been slightly resistant to the whole crop top trend (crunches are not my friend), but the bow detailing on this ASOS crop top was too darling to pass up. I took the plunge while online shopping late at night--post several glasses of wine natch--and decided that this was a make it work moment.

How would you rock a crop top?
