Dress: Zara // Shoes: Zara // Bag: Coach // Necklace: Forever 21
I absolutely adore the silhouette of drop wait dresses (speaking of, love how Blair styled hers here). They can be a tad tricky for someone with a short frame like me, but luckily I found that this floral dress had lots of movement so it seemed to work. Either that, or I was so determined to make it work that I deluded myself into believing it--that's my current relationship with maxi dresses.
If you want this Zara dress for yourself, you're in luck! It's still available here.

I still can't believe that we're just a few days away from the end of summer. Where did it go?!
It's been getting quite warm here in Southern California over the past few days and I've been trying to enjoy the last few moments of summer bliss and lots of dresses and shorts. I know what you're thinking: But it doesn't even get that cold in SoCal! Rationally you would be correct. But a strange thing happens after you've acclimated to SoCal weather--a brisk day in the sixties will have me running for winter gloves and a plush coat...I judge me too.
Everything in this outfit is an oldie but a goodie. These shoes are one of my favorites and are surprisingly comfy! Previously seen here, here and here.
I just got this lovely book in the mail, so my weekend will consist of trying out new recipes and cleaning house. Hopefully all the home chores will have me refrain from shopping as I have my eagle-eye on these and this.

If I had to choose just one fall clothing essential, it would be a well-fitted chambray shirt. I love that J. Crew put a girly twist on the classic chambray with jeweled embellishments. The price tag is a little steep, but it's going to be such a closet staple that I deemed it a worthy investment.
These Rag & Bones shoes are a few seasons old but if you're looking for a similarly-bright and fun pair, you should check these out.
J. Crew released a sneak peek of their September Style Guide on Pinterest and I'm in love. These shoes are on the top of my wish list.
If you loved The September Issue as much as I did, you'll be just as excited as I am for the release of Mademoiselle C, which chronicles her ventures post-Vogue. Check out the trailer here.
Like a magpie, I have a penchant for all things shiny. That's precisely why this luxe and oh-so-chic 100-Year Anniversary Lulu Frost collection on Moda Operandi caught my eye.
I'm the first to admit that I absolutely adore the British Royals. I'll readily admit that I was glued to the live feed of the hospital in order to catch the first glimpse of Prince George. Check out Prince William's first official interview regarding fatherhood! If that's not enough to satiate your appetite for all things Royal, the first official portrait of the new family is almost too cute for words.
I've been simply swamped lately (both personally and at work) so I do appreciate all the patience and understanding with my lack of updates. Posts are coming back this weekend/early next week, promise.
I've been on a skirt binge lately and clearly the universe was looking out for me because this Zara number fell right into my lap. The ruffles and trumpet silhouette give this white pencil skirt a girlish vibe--I'm definitely looking forward to pairing this with fun blazers/jackets in the fall.
I scored these Prada heels at the Barney's Outlet in Palm Springs about a year ago and they are one of my favorite pairs of shoes. They hail from Prada's whimsical Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Some critics weren't fans but I absolutely loved it--after all, isn't fashion supposed to be fun?
Top: Forever 21 // Jeans: Rag & Bone // Clutch: Gap // Shoes: Rebecca Taylor (last seen here) // Watch: Michael Kors
I've been on the hunt for a laser cut tee for a while so when I spotted this fun piece at Forever 21, I was sold. I'm normally a little more hesitant on purchasing trendier pieces but at under $20, it didn't take much convincing at all. If I'm feeling particularly adventurous, I'll pair it with this for a fun peek-a-boo of color.
