Striped Style

top- Ambiance (boutique in SF)
cardigan- Express
skirt- Forever 21
belt- J. Crew
pumps- Zara
tote- Phillip Lim

I am not a fan of sweaters. Maybe it's because I grew up in a tropical climate and the idea of layers terrifies me to the core. So here I am, thoroughly protesting the arrival of chilly fall and sweater-season by pairing it with a pretty-sure-it's-too-short-for-fall skirt.

Are y'all missing summer yet?

Major: Anthropologie

top- Anthropologie
jeans- Gap
blazer- Zara
shoes- Nine West
bag- TopShop

A cheesy title I know. I couldn't help myself—I graduated from a liberal arts college.

I adore Anthropologie's clothes. For a good three months, I bought everything there: clothes, pillows, vases, jewelry boxes, stationery. It was an absolute addiction.

There's nothing like a cheery pink skirt to make a Monday morning just a tad bit brighter.

I hope y'all had a fabulous Thanksgiving break!

Too Cute

Two of my favorite things: Puppies and Fashion. What's not to love?

Weekend Wish List

Zara/Pour la victoire/ Net-a-Porter/Sephora/Nordstrom/Amazon

1. I'm looking for the perfect festive clutch for the holiday season. This red snake-print clutch from Zara just may be it.

2. Yes, I have a shoe obsession. Currently coveting these perfect suede sandals from Pour la Victoire in "Dusty Plum."

3. Nothing says romance to me like the perfect vintage-inspired lace frock. This silk-chiffon blouse from Tibi is sheer perfection!

4. I love Fresh products—I don't remember what life was like before their sugar lip balm. So I'm pretty sure my bath-time experience will not be complete until I have their Sugar Lemon shower gel.

5. No one can quite soothe an aching heart quite like Adele. I cannot wait for the release of her live performance. Plus, I've been listening to the Glee mash-up of "Rumor Has It/Someone Like You" on repeat for the past week.

6. I used to think it was ridiculous to pay $14 for a bottle of nail polish, but I am now a Butter-believer. The colors are simply to die for. The "Wallis" dark gold shade is going to be just the right touch of sparkle for those holiday soirees.

Banana Frenzy

top, skirt and belt- Banana Republic
bracelets- J. Crew
bag- Coach
shoes- Christian Louboutin

Everyone that knows me knows that I have an obsession with Banana Republic. This blog might as well be called "Bernice the Banana Addict"! But that sounds slightly dirty...

This outfit was from last week, so my hair is slightly misleading. (It's much darker now.) My recent weather woes kept me from new outfit pics for the week, so a throwback post was in order!

I rarely am this dressed up for work, but sometimes a gal just needs a sharp pencil skirt to make it through the week.

Baby Phillip!

I was going to wait till a new outfit post to debut Baby Phillip, but then I realized, who am I kidding? I'm not one to wait on a new purchase. ;)

Words cannot describe how excited I was to finally get my hands on the 3.1 Phillip Lim satchel! Between the rich ink blue and the gorgeous pebbled leather, I am so tremendously happy with this purchase. I've been looking for a more mature purse to incorporate into my work wardrobe and I think this is just the perfect piece!

Weather Woes

California weather has been great to me. In fact, it's been absolutely fantastic. Up to just a few weeks ago, I was spending most Saturday and Sunday afternoons hanging by the pool. (It's a tough life, I know.) So of course the one weekend that I had an Arkansassy in town to visit, it rained. Every day. All weekend. Cold, biting rain.

I'm sure the whole time he was thinking, Wow, Bernikins. You were totally lying when you said that Cali weather was amazing. I am never coming back here ever again. Actually, at one point he actually told me that the rain was "total bullshit." Agreed, son. Total bullshit it was.

So due the dreary weather all weekend, there was no time for outfit pictures this weekend. Which is sad considering I have a new haircolor to debut and an exiting new purchase. Oh well, let's cross our fingers for sunny days next week!

Also, I kept expecting Ryan Gosling to show and for this to happen. It didn't. Weird.

Sparkle and Shine

When I saw this jacket at Zara I just couldn't help myself. What a great sparkly piece for fall! I decided to break it out on this rainy day in SF for a fun pick-me-up. :)

Happy Friday, y'all!

Doing the Polka

top- Zara
jeans- Banana Republic
shoes- Zara
necklace- J. Crew
purse- Coach
For a while, I was wearing dresses or skirt every day and my jeans were gathering dust at the bottom of my dresser. So I've started making myself incorporate denim more into my everyday wardrobe! These trouser jeans from Banana Republic are such a great combination of business casual and comfyness. Of course, a pair of red platform pumps to complete the Shoe Addict's outfit. :)

True Blue

dress- boutique
belt- J. Crew
shoes- Steve Madden
bracelet- J. Crew
clutch- Banana Republic

When I saw these shoes in the store, I just had to have them. I have this voice in my head (a la Confessions of a Shopaholic) that whispers, "Take me home, Mommy." I know, I'm nuts.

Anywho, while these shoes are sky-high and majorly pinch my feet, I like to break them out whenever I can. I'll certainly be using them more in the fall to cheer up those dreary rainy days. :)

Happy Hump Day!

Dotted Style

 jacket-Zara
dress-Zara
necklace- H&M
shoes-Rachel Roy

SF chilly weather is officially here which means that my coats are making their way out of the closet! I bought this polka-dot jacket from the Zara in Covent Garden, London, a few years ago when I was studying in Oxford. Wearing it always makes me think of my lovely time living there. :)

Do y'all have favorite fall coats?

Think Pink

I must admit, I am a huge girly-girl. Maybe it's the wonderful pink dahlia skirt from J. Crew that I have on today, but I have been thinking pink all day!

Fresh peonies/ The perfect holiday-ready dress from J. Crew/ The "It" Bag of Fashion Week, the Cambridge Satchel in Fluro Pink/ Happy pink balloons

I hope everybody's Monday was just lovely!

Pink Sailor

shoes- Rachel Roy

clutch- Charles & Keith

bracelet- Express

Happy Monday!

Y'all will soon learn that I have quite an obsession with nautical stripes! I can't explain it, but I'm fairly certain that I have three variations on the same striped shirt. ;) I was excited to break out this old tee to pair with a new pink skirt I got from J. Crew this week. The lined wool skirt is going to be just warm enough for the chilly SF weather and the bright pink is sure to punch up moody fall days. Stay tuned for more bright outfits!

Do y'all have new exciting purchases for fall?

Short Story

top- Aqua from Bloomingdales
shorts- Aqua from Bloomingdales
belt- Banana Republic
shoes- Nine West
tote- boutique
bracelets- Forever 21

We had a wondrous sunny weekend where I live in the Bay area, so I was trying to savor the last few moments of appropriate shorts-weather. The shirt, with its cutout back, was quite a daring purchase for me but I've grown to love it!

What's your favorite weekend wear?
