B Buys: Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag

I've had my eye on a Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag for quite some time now and the quest to procure it was a not a simple one! I had attempted to put myself on several wait lists, but finding a store that even had an open wait list was near impossible--I could mostly only find them for the tote bags. (Also on my must-have list, but the bucket bag was of top priority!) I even came real close to putting in a pre-order via Moda Operandi for one of the pale pink mini buckets but ultimately decided to hold out for the black full size bucket bag that I had my eye on for months.

I had heard rumblings about the Mansur Gavriel team possibly venturing into e-commerce, so I figured that as an e-comm gal myself, my best bet would be to watch the site for their e-store launch. Proof that persistence pays off, I stumbled on the site one morning, saw that the bags were available for purchase and pounced. Y'all, when I say pounce, I mean that my fingers have never maneuvered a mouse quite so quickly before. And it's a good thing my nimble fingers served me well, as within thirty minutes of my checking out, the bucket bags were completely sold out. If there's any lesson learned here, is that my years of online shopping has served me well. ;)

It's easy to see why this bag has quickly become a cult favorite: it's lightweight, minimalistic, and at under $500, incredibly budget-friendly. The strap is long enough to be used as a cross-body bag and it's surprisingly roomy. I've only used it a handful of times this summer, but I expect it's going to be out in full force come fall!

Have y'all tried getting your hands on one of these elusive bags? Please share your shopping tale!

Printed and Chambray

Top: Old Navy // Shorts: Zara // Shoes: Sam Edelman // Necklace: Nordsrom // Sunglasses: Topshop

Remember the last time I went wine tasting in a romper? After attempting to wrangle it in the bathroom post-(many) glasses of wine, I learned my lesson and went with simple separates. Considering it was also almost a sweltering 100 degrees that day, the shorts turned out to be a genius choice. The heels? Not quite as conducive to climbing in and out of a jeep, but I'm nothing if not determined when it comes to unreasonable footwear!

Summer Leather

Top: ASOS // Skirt: Forever 21 (last seen here) // Shoes: Manolo Blahnik // Clutch: Samudra via Shopbop // Sunglasses: Forever 21 // Jewelry: Bauble Bar, Forever 21, J. Crew

Sporting a (faux) leather skirt in the hottest months of summer probably isn't the best idea but, what can I say, I live dangerously like that. At least the crop top balances it out?

I don't know if it's been my recent trip to NYC, but I've been really feeling the black & white combo lately. It just leaves so much room for punchy accessories like these pink snakeskin Mary Jane's! Speaking of fun footwear, I'm not normally a fan of flats but how cute are these?!

Thanks for stopping by!

Blue (Sparkly) Shoes

Romper: Lulu's // Shoes: Topshop // Clutch: Banana Republic // Sunglasses: Le Spec // Jewelry: Forever 21

I don't know why, but I have been obsessed with rompers/jumpsuits lately. (Case in point.) Sure, it's slightly problematic for bathroom runs but I do like a challenge in life. ;)

I've been on a Topshop shoe kick lately and these will on the top of my MUST-HAVE list. Y'all know I can't help myself when it comes to shiny things. To be completely honest, these shoes aren't the most comfortable pair I've ever owned, but the heel is so fun it kinda, sorta makes up for it... At least, that's what I've convinced myself.

PS: How fun are these nails?! I love getting the Rockstar gels--further proof of my magpie tendencies.

Happy Friday y'all!

Black + White Crop

Top: Forever 21 // Skirt: Topshop // Shoes: Christian Louboutin // Bag: Charles & Keith // Jewelry: Etsy // Sunglasses: Karen Walker

I've indulged in the crop top trend very sparingly (see here) but present me with a black and white striped crop top and I just can't help myself! This necklace, while bold, is also fast becoming one of my go-to pieces. Etsy has been such a terrific resource for budget-friendly jewelry--I highly recommend perusing the various shops if you're on the hunt for some fun pieces!

Back from my New York trip last week and getting settled back in at work. Pictures from my trip to come.

Jumpsuit, Funsuit

Jumpsuit: Aqua via Bloomingdales // Shoes: Topshop // Clutch: Samudra via Shopbop // Jewelry: J. Crew, Baublebar, Forever 21

I've refrained from the jumpsuit trend for a while, mostly because I'm too short to fit into most, so when I found this petite-friendly pair, there was no holding me back! The ruched leg makes it the perfect length for a shorter gals like me. I love that the slouchiness lends itself to a part-casual, part-MC Hammer look.

On a site note, have y'all checked out the shoe collection at Topshop? There are the most drool-worthy pieces up for grabs! Most pairs are priced at under $100 so they are super budget-friendly too.

Thanks for reading y'all! Glad to be back after an accidental mini-hiatus with the frenzy of moving and work.

Tie-Dye Neutrals

Top: Aritzia // Jeans: Madewell // Shoes: Joe's Jeans // Bag: Forever 21 // Sunglasses: Forever 21 // Jewelry: J. Crew, Etsy

I've always been envious of those that can rock white skinny jeans--how do they keep them so clean?! But I was feeling brazen when in Madewell a few months ago and picked up this light gray (essentially white) pair. And in an equally brazen moment, I couldn't say no to this open-back top when I stopped by the SF Aritzia store a few weeks ago. I know right, I'm feeling so sartorially adventurous these days who knows what else is next?

A friendly note that these shoes are uber comfortable and seem to go with just about everything. If you're looking for a pair of summer heels, snatch these up now!
